Online department for sound art education

The online department for sound art education is an online live stream platform that enables digital sound art education

The online department for sound art education is a livestream platform that enables digital sound art education. This gives youth art schools and schools the opportunity
to onduct online courses and workshops in the field of sound art (radio plays, podcasts, field recordings, electronic music production, sound compositions, live stream performances).

The courses and workshops are led by sound artists who already have experience in educational projects with young people. The online events offer two possible types of face-to-face lessons: individual or group lessons. The group lessons will be class lessons via the virtual platform, in which the participants can log into a virtual classroom at the same time and interact with both the teacher and other participants (chat, webcam and audio overlay).

One-to-one tuition is intended for everyone who wants to continue their training outside of a course or workshop in the field of sound art. This option is intended as an e-learning platform and, as a private form of teaching, offers the opportunity to professionalise yourself in theory and practice in digital electronic music production, experimental music and sound design, just like with music lessons.

The program enables participants to develop digital, artistic projects together through professional, sound artistic support, but also to produce and publish individual practical projects from home and publish them online (on social media and on websites of youth art schools / schools and other artistic and musical ones facilities).

Target group:

The project is aimed at young people and young adults and addresses youth art schools, music schools and secondary schools as well as high schools directly in order to attract participants. The project is intended for both individual interested parties and groups. Even private interested parties who are aged 20+ can take part. Individual lessons can be flexibly adapted to the level and prior knowledge of the participants.

The teacher

The project would like to broaden and involve several sound artists and musicians as honorary staff. After an introductory period of online teaching with Roberta Busehian as head, this will gradually be achieved with a public application process.

Content

The content of the program includes radio production, electronic music production, sound composition, sound sculptures, field recordings and livestream sound performance. All content is conveyed theoretically through online material (handouts, videos, keynote presentations, audio archives) as well as practically through the livestream with the teachers.
In terms of theoretical and practical content, participation is carried out without previous knowledge and without the requirement of your own sound equipment.
In the courses, content is illustrated with a mixture of practical exercises and carried out in real time by participants.
